Starting his bike, he grips the back of my head pulling me in for a final kiss before riding out the gate, out of my sight and possibly my life - I can't stop this horrible feeling that I'm never going to see him again.
Cora comes up beside me and places her arm around my waist. I sag against her, already feeling so weak from today. Cora and my mother are the only two who know exactly what's going on with me, and I plan to keep it that way. I don't see the point in worrying everybody else unnecessarily when there's nothing that can be done.
“He’ll be back before you know it,” she says, watching the empty street with me. “How about we go and stare at the beautiful little girl of yours for a while? She's so sweet she could cheer anyone up.”
Wiping at my eyes, I nod and walk slowly beside her, taking notice when I see Monique watching me as she leans against one of the poles under the clubhouse awning. I can see that she knows something is going on, but she doesn’t question me about it. She knows better than to do that. This is Old Lady business, and she isn’t one of us yet.
As I turn my head away from her, my vision suddenly blurs, and the last thing I hear is my name being yelled as slip out of Cora’s arms and collapse on the ground.

Ella Stone has written a great second book of the series. I loved the violence in it and the love Cole has for Maddie.
If you have a weak stomach and done like violence and HOT sex then this book isnt for you.
Cole has his revenge on! Now that he is Prez he has to hold up to his obligations. Blood or not Cutter has to die along with the rest of the Demon Brothers. He has set out to track down Cutter. HIS MAIN CONCERN! He wants Cutter for what he did to Maddie. And Cole doesnt care if his mother is part of them or not. Shes not his blood anymore. Or can he follow thru with taking her down too? Coles skills from his days in the Navy as a Clearance Diver is paying off. They were trained to be ghosts. Austrailia doesnt have massive armed forces, so they had to train like mad and complete out missions with limited manpower. Cole destroyed everything he was asked too. He did it and got out. He didnt much care for a few of the men techniques so he got out of it.
Maddie is torn here because she feels its her fault for all the damage done. If she wouldnt have come back she thinks no of this would have happened. Or would it? Everyone tells her shes family no matter what and this was going to happen one way or the other. She is missing Cole alot with him out trying to find Cutter hes missing out on her pregnancy. Maddie is having some really bad nightmares since the attack. She keeps telling herself he will be back in time for the birth of their daughter. Maddie is afraid that Cole wont be the same after this mission hes on.
Will Cole and Maddie get past this and will he put Maddie and his daughter ahead of his biker family or will he go on til this destroys them?
I gave this 5 stars. I love the series and it had me so invested in it that I couldnt put it down. I love the story of Cole and Maddie.
It does have violence in it but I love that in a biker book. And it does have some pretty dark scenes in it. It makes it more real life. When I go to the end of the book I thought Oh Crap! What is Cole gonna do now how can he can not see whats going on with Maddie. I cant wait for the next book!!!
